We truely are commited to our GREEN way of business. Australian manufactured reflective aluminium foil insulation . . .  made for Australia's future . . . your future!

New "Eco" Initiatives from Green Insulation®!

The manufacturing of Australian reflective foil insulation continues to lead the way in driving down our carbon footprint.

The great news from Green Insulation® is that it has sourced the latest recycling technology from China which will soon be installed at their Meadowbrook Logan manufacturing plant. Green Insulation® manufacture a range of reflective foil insulation with air bubbles or cells sandwiched between two layers of 99% pure aluminium foil. The aluminium foil reflects up to 95% of radiant heat.

During the manufacturing process, a small amount of waste is trimmed from the edges. In the past, this waste has been dumped. No longer! Despite the very small amount of waste producing reflective foil insulation, even that will be recycled soon. This bodes well for the upcoming "Green Tag" ratings due in December from Eco-Specifier. Look forward to some excellent results.

Ray Stead, Managing Director of Green Insulation®, personally drives eco thinking within the company. "With us, talk about saving the environment isn't just talk" says Ray, "We really believe that "green" initiatives actually make good business sense". You can see the influence of Ray's passion for the environment in every roll of reflective foil insulation manufactured at his plant.

Also on the environmental front, Green Insulation® will soon be auditing their use of energy. Theoretically, the Australian reflective insulation manufacturing plant at Meadowbrook, Logan, uses as little as one eighth of the energy to manufacture compared to more mainstream insulation types such as fibreglass batts and fibreglass blanket. Will the Meadowbrook plant live up to expectations? Subscribe to this feed to stay updated.

Green! More than our name . . . it's our passion!

Refective Foil Insulation bucks the trends

Demand for Australian manufactured reflective aluminium foil insulation continues to grow despite cheap imports still being dumped.

The fortunes of Australian insulation manufacturers have been at the mercy of the economy, the Australian dollar, the building industry and the current Labor Government's unremarkable handling of fallout from the Home Insulation Rebate Scheme. Many have fallen victim to this barrage. However, Green Insulation® has bucked the trends and has actually achieved growth in sales.

Green Insulation® manufactures a range of reflective foil insulation that sandwiches a layer of polyethylene air cells between 2 layers of 99% pure aluminimum foil. Manufacturing of the highest standard takes place at their Meadowbrook Queensland plant. Whilst the "dumped" imported insulation deteriorates around the country, builders, trade and the DIY insulation users find faith in the newly manufactured local insulation products.

Perhaps one of the greatest drawcards to Green Insulation® products is their versatility. Reflective foil air bubbles insulation manufactured at Meadowbrook has been tested for acoustic performance, as well as tested to be compliant with being a fall arrest (Reflecta-Cell® and Reflecta-Guard™ only).

Another great attribute that drives business our way is our capacity to create custom length rolls for major projects. When working on major jobs, ordering the reflective foil air bubble insulation to the exact length you require can substantially eliminate waste and reduce labour demands.

Please support Australian manufacturing and get behind Green Insulations® products wherever possible. For all the latest technical information you should simply visit the Green website. Manufacturing on the increase!

Australian manufacturing of Reflective Foil Insulation is increasing steadily.

Manufacturer of the Reflecta Range™ of reflective aluminium foil products, Green Insulation®, has announced a huge 20 % increase in production. "Demand is up, despite the government's best efforts to send us broke" says Managing Director, Ray Stead. "We're witnessing a real change in consumer sentiment brought about by people power".

It would be true to say that much of the success achieved by Green Insulation® can be directly attributed to the Julia Gillard/Labor Government insulation rebate scheme. "It sent so many quality Ausralian insulation businesses broke, there are few left to choose from. Well done Julia!" says Michael.

With solar panel companies now frequently in the news, one has to wonder if that industry will mirror the disasters experienced by the inept handling of the insulation rebate debacle. Government interference has never been a very good strategy for a productive outcome. Will we ever learn?

It seems not!

The carbon tax is yet another act of complete government stupidity ready to be unleashed. Even if it is 100% successful, it will probably take a hundred years to compensate for the environmental disaster caused by the insulation rebate scheme. However, this legislation does hold promise for giving advantage to a green and efficient insulation manufacturer such as Green Insulation. Any benefit attained by Green will probably not be enough to weigh against the drain it will place on the economy.

Green Insulation® are the proud manufacturers of Reflecta-Guard™ reflective aluminium foil insulation. Reflecta-Guard™ is recognised as a leader in reflective insulation, being a high quality thermal insulation, an excellent acoustic insulation, and is also rated as a fall arrest as well. Don't forget, these reflective insulation products also replace the need for sarking as well. With such diverse use and benefit, Reflecta-Guard™ reflective aluminium foil insulation is a great example of the ingenuity and quality delivered by Australian manufacturing. We ask that you too support Australian manufacturing and keep jobs and money in Australia.

Green Insulation® announces the stepping up of foil insulation production.

Production of reflective bubble foil insulation at the Meadowbrook manufacturing plant of Green Insulation® has been stepped up due to demand created by the changing specification requirements of the building industry, and new demand from online sales. Increasingly, foil insulation is being seen as the best solution to meet the increasing demand for reaching Green TAG targets.

"Despite a very weak construction industry at the moment, sales of reflective bubble foil insulation have been very strong" says Sales Manager, Rod Stead. "We are looking at record turnover for this month if you exclude the artificial boom created by the Governments Insulation Rebate Scheme". This growth in demand is a real "shot in the arm" for Green's new bubble foil manufacturing. Investment in the new manufacturing process seems to have been a worthwhile investment.
